Can 3 guests stay in the same room?
Three people are allowed to stay in the same room, however, 3 beds or king bed with 1 single bed is not available for most of Japan hotels.
If you prefer more comfortable accommodations, you could choose single supplement for the 3rd person. The single supplement for this tour is $399.
How much do I pay to hold the space?
The deposit amount is 50% of the full amount for each passenger.
What airlines do you use?
Depending on the gateway city, we use multiple airlines including Air China, China Eastern, Japan Airlines, American Airlines, Delta and United Airlines.
What's the cost to upgrade to premium economy or business class?
Please put your questions in the "Special Request" section during the booking process. We will send you the price difference at the time when we book the international flights. You may also purchase the land only package and book the flights on your own.
What if I want to stay two more nights in Tokyo?
Extra night stay is available and you can book your own hotels. If you have booked the air inclusive package, an extra of $250 will be charged for changing the return date.
What's the extra cost for single travelers?
The single supplement is $399. By paying for this extra amount, a solo traveler will have his or her own room. Stunning Tours currently does't provide roommate-pairing services.
Are airport transfers included?
Our tour guide will be at the airport to help you arrange the shuttle bus to the hotel upon your arrive in Osaka. Because we often book the 1st night hotel near the airport, the shuttle bus is usually included by the hotel and is free. After the tour ends, the tour guide will also help you arrange the shuttle bus from hotel to the airport in Tokyo, the shuttle bus usually cost around $30 per person.
How do I book the optional tours?
You will decide which optional tours to choose and pay for them in Japan. You may pay with U.S. dollars, Japanese Yen or credit cards.
Do I need a travel visa for Japan?
Japan visa isn't required for Canadian, U.S. or Mexican citizens. During the Covid-19 pandemic, a visa requirement has been in place. You are required to book a package tour through a travel agency and get the ERFS in order to apply for a Japan visa. Stunning Tours provide ERFS to all booked guests. However, Japan may waive the visa requirement in October of 2022. Please check with us you make the reservation. Update: since October 11th, 2022, Japan won't need a travel visa for Canadian, U.S. or Mexican citizens.
What hotels do you use for the tour?
We use 3 star hotels for standard packages, and 4 star hotels for Deluxe packages. For the first night you arrival in Japan, we usually book an airport hotel with free shuttle.
What's the average age for the tour group?
Our tour packages are popular among all age groups. Most of our guests are between 20 and 70 years old.
What's the nationality of the guests?
The majority of our guests are from the U.S., while a few of them are from Australia and Canada.
Do you provide air inclusive packages for all U.S. cities?
We have group contract with Air China and China Eastern for major U.S. cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York City. For other gateways, please book your own flights and purchase the land-only package from us.
Do I have to tip the tour guides?
Since the mandatory gratuity of $150 per person is collected at the time of booking, you don't have to tip extra amount in Japan.
When do I pay for the remaining balance?
We collect the remaining balance no later than two months before the departure date, or when we issue the flight tickets for you, whichever comes first.
Can I pay by installments?
You may pay for the deposit(50%) at the time of booking, and the rest of it two months before departure(or when we book the flights).
What if the departure date I want isn't on the website?
If you have more than 6 clients and the departure date is more than 6 months away, we might be able to create a new departure date.
Can I organize a private tour just for my friends and family?
We can operate private tours for 10 or more guests. We can offer the same price as the website for groups larger than 30. For smaller group sizes, please contact us to get a quote.
Why are the prices are different for similar departure dates?
Each departure date is selling at a lower price when they are first created. And the price will be increased as more people sign up. Typically the price is increased by $100-$200 for every 10 new guests we receive. So for departure dates with higher prices, they are most likely a guaranteed departure. If a departure is selling at the starting price, we might only have a few guest sighed up for that date.
Is every departure date a guaranteed departure?
We can only conduct a tour when the group size is at least 10, sometimes 15. We might also cancel a departure date for reasons such as unfriendly weathers, cancelled flights, operation issues..etc..

    Shirakawago

This was the only affordable tour I could find online with Shirakawago included. All the other tours were ridiculously expensive. I enjoyed every bit of the tour. Loved it!
